2NE1 Will Reportedly Not Have Another Comeback This Year

Despite having a long year of promotions and concerts, fans of 2NE1 might be disappointed to learn that the girl group will not have another comeback until next year at the earliest.

On October 23, a representative from record label YG Entertainment announced 2NE1 will be abstaining from year-end music award shows and that CL will be traveling between America and South Korea for her solo debut as well as 2NE1's comeback next year.

"Though they've received a number of offers for music award ceremonies, we respectfully declined," said a YG rep according to allkpop. "Park Bom is still reflecting, so we ask for your understanding."

"2NE1 cannot put on a show without Park Bom. However, besides that, Park Bom is not participating in any other domestic schedules. She is currently taking time to self-reflect. Please support them until they make make their comeback. They will make a good album and come back as 2NE1."

Sadly, this contradicts YG founder Yang Hyun Suk's statements earlier this year, where he spoke on 2NE1's material that was left off of their latest album, "Crush."

"The long preparation time means there are many songs besides the ones included in the 2nd full album," said a blog post on YG-Life, "so other members' solo songs initially planned to be included in the latest album are currently put aside for the next album."

"And as we expect CL to be more actively writing and composing, there should be no problem in releasing 2NE1's next album and CL's new solo album before this year ends."

"At least we know that they plan on coming back next year hopefully," commented godragon88 on allkpop.

Reportedly, CL will be the only 2NE1 member performing on stage this winter at SIA on October 28 with American DJ Diplo.
