Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini users can now install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update using a custom firmware.

The most popular group of custom Android ROM developers, CyanogenMod team, just rolled out the CyanogenMod11 M11 ROM for Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. The custom ROM can be installed specifically to Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini 3G units, which bears the model number GT-I9190.

Officially, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini can be updated with Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. But because of custom Android firmware developers, the 2013 smartphone can now have Google's latest mobile OS, the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update.

Those who wish to install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update on Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini 3G GT-I9190 via CM11 M11 ROM should be more punctilious and careful during the installation process, since the available firmware is not an official release from the South Korean manufacturer.

According to International Business Times, the CyanogenMod11 M11 firmware for the Galaxy S4 Mini is based on Android Open Source Project or AOSP and the size is about 218 MB. To install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update on Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini GT-I9190 using the CyanogenMod firmware, follow the detailed steps provided on this post.
