Say hello to Katy Perry's latest tattoo: a Hello Kitty on her middle finger!

The "Roar" singer just got a late birthday present for herself! Turning 30 is a milestone after all, which she decided to commemorate by getting a Hello Kitty tat. Katy shared her latest tattoo on her Instagram page with the caption: ""Does this make my gang signs look soft?"

Before Katy got her latest ink, she actually declared her love for the cartoon character on Twitter. "OMG HELLO KITTY IS A SCORPIO TOO ILY!" Well, who would have thought? (Trivia: Hello Kitty celebrates her birthday on November 1! This year, the Sanrio character turns 40. )

In 2011, as Cambio reported, Katy played a totally obsessed Hello Kitty fan during her "Sunday Night Live" appearance. At first we thought she was just playing a character. But then, looks like the obsession is real!

She's not the only celebrity fan hooked by Hello Kitty's charms. Lady Gaga and Avril Lavigne are also huge fans of the Japanese creation. The "Bad Romance" singer wore a dress made up of entirely Hello Kitty plush toys for a limited edition album cover for "The Fame" in 2009. It's so cute...that it's a little freaky.

Meanwhile, Avril has a song "Hello Kitty" where she dances around a candy store and a sushi bar in her pink streaked hair. Watch the video below:

Katy Perry already has five tattoos: "Jesus" on her left wrist, a smiling strawberry on the inside of her left ankle, a peppermint swirl on her right, lotus flower on her right wrist and "Anuugacchati Pravaha", Sanskrit for "Go With The Flow" on the inside of her right bicep. Ex-husband Russel Brand also has the same Sanskrit tattoo which they got in 2010, shortly after engagement. The actor, however, had his tattoo "permanently removed" after the divorce in 2012.
