Woollim Entertainment Releases Teaser Images For Long Awaited Girl Group Lovelyz

Woollim Entertainment's upcoming girl group has finally been revealed.

On November 2, Woollim Entertainment uploaded a picture to Facebook of its new eight member girl group, Lovelyz. The teaser image showed all eight members together, wearing school uniforms, and announced that Lovelyz will release a pre-release song and hold a showcase, along with releasing an album in the middle of November.

The logo of Lovelyz contains the letter 'L' in a leaf-covered heart, and includes the words "Girls' Invasion," which is likely the title of the album.

The first official teaser image shows the eight girls taking on an innocent, simple look. The eight are shown standing alongside one another, wearing identical schoolgirl uniforms. All of the members are shown wearing straight brown hair.

Woollim Entertainment has been rumored to be releasing a girl group for several years, with high expectations due to being from the same company as popular idol group INFINITE.

Some  of the eight members appearing alongside INFINITE during performances, or appeared in music videos with INFINITE and other Woollim Entertainment artists. Baby Soul, Yoo Ji Ae, and Lee Mi Joo were confirmed to be part of the eight member group in October.

Lee Mi Joo appeared in INFINITE's music video for "Last Romeo," while Baby Soul and Yoo Ji Ae both released songs in 2012 and 2013, respectively.

Another member, JIN, is also well-known but previously unconfirmed. She released a song, "Gone," with a music video that starred EXO's Xiumin and actress Kim Yoo Jung.

The Woollim girl group gained a following even prior to official confirmation, and there are Facebook pages and Twitter accounts devoted to updates about "Woollim Girls."

Lovelyz will release a pre-release song on November 10, then hold a showcase on November 12, followed by the album release on November 17.
