2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Will Be Powered By A 6.4L HEMI V8 Engine And Paired With 8-Speed Automatic Transmission, Take A Closer Look

The Jeep has disclosed the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee facelift, which has a lot of improvement from its previous model.

In the report of the Motoring Crunch, the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee will be powered by a 6.4L HEMI V8 engine, and it is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. It will have a total of 160mph that will accelerate from 0-60mph in 4.8 seconds.

Aside from the 6.4L HEMI V8 engine, the said SUV will also come in 3.2L Pentastar V6 engine, 3.0L multi-jet diesel engine and a 5.7L HEMI V8 engine.

According to the website of the Jeep, the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee will feature an Eco Mode, which will improve the fuel economy of the vehicle by simply adjusting the idle speed, interactive deceleration fuel shut off, transmission shift schedule, and in V8 engine models, Fuel Saver cylinder deactivation.

Furthermore, in terms of safety and security, according to the Jeep website, the Grand Cherokee comes with advanced multistage driver and front-passenger airbags, with a supplemental side-curtain airbags.

Another safety feature is the Blind Spot Monitoring, a system which helps the driver for a blind spots and monitor the space between the Grand Cherokee and other vehicles.

Moreover, other features include is the 911 call button for emergency, enhanced accident response system or EARS, park view, rear back up camera with ParkSense front and rear park assist system, electronic stability control, and others.

As of now, there is not information yet to when the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee will be available. But according to Motoring Crunch, the said SUV might be focused on the global market.
