'Hawaii Five-0' Season 5 Episode 8 Spoilers: Family Tragedy Under Investigation; Carol Burnett's Return Spells Glamour

"Hawaii Five-0" season 5, episode 8 spoilers show that a family tragedy will be under scrutiny while the show just becomes more interesting with Carol Burnett's return.

According to the "Hawaii Five-0" season 5, episode 8 spoilers from Washington Times, the series is not tapering off right after the 100th episode as this time Carol Burnett's Aunt Deb will marry her fiancee, Frankie Valli's Leonard Campbell.

Their characters "will tie the knot in Oahu before Aunt Deb's Navy SEAL-turned-supercop nephew Steve McGarrett [Alex O'Loughlin], his band of crime fighters and their pals," the publication said.

Showrunner Peter Lenkov told the Times that in the original show, Jack Lord acted like a dictator and everybody just follows his lead.

"He had nobody to confide in or bounce things off," he said, adding that he wanted Danno, McGarrett's partner, to be just an accessory.

"I really wanted to have two guys that see law enforcement from two different perspectives. Both guys do the same job but do it very differently," he said.

Burnett, for her part, said that she's a fan of the show. "I think it is a really well-written show. I fell in love with Alex and Scott right away. They are two straight guys, but they bicker like an old married couple. I just love that."

The synopsis revealed "Hawaii Five-0" season 5, episode 8 spoilers as it reads: "While the team investigates a couple's murder in which their sons are the prime suspects, McGarrett is shocked when Aunt Deb returns to the island with her new fiancé.

"The biggest thing that we have high hopes for after reading this synopsis is really rather simple: Burnett. She is not only a showbiz icon, but she is the sort of person who can bring the best out of everyone around her," Cartermatt said. "The fact that you have Frankie Valli in here, as well, is really just the icing on the cake."

"Hawaii Five-0" season 5, episode 8 airs on Friday, November 21, at 9 p.m. on CBS Television Network.
