King Gong Min finally regained his self-confidence and began his counter attack.

On the Tuesday episode of "Great Doctor," King Gong Min (played by Ryu Deok Hwan) and Choi Young (played by Lee Min Ho) resolved their misunderstandings. Ki Chul (played by Yoo Oh Sung) had framed Choi Young and accused him of treason. Choi Young had no way to prove his innocence and King Gong Min was imprisoned himself.

King Gong Min, originally believing that his most trusted Choi Young had betrayed him, has been suffering from incredibly low morale. Choi Young however, successfully convinces him of the truth that he was falsely accused of treason and that he has always been loyal to the king. The two then confirm their relationship once more and set out to stand up against Ki Chul.

Choi Young tells him, "You are not someone who fights. A king is someone who can have anything. You can have me and I will do the fighting."

King Gong Min, encouraged by Choi Young, asks Princess Noh Guk for help and he appears back at the palace in official Korean ceremonial clothes, rather than the Won Dynasty clothes that they had always wore. King Gong Min was making the statement that he refused to be a puppet monarch under China.

Internet users who watched the episode all reacted positively to Gong Min's new resolve, saying, "King Gong Min was so great! Really king-like," "The drama is about to get better," "I hope to be able to study some history with this," and "How will I wait until next week?"
