On November 18, 5urprise released their first single album, “From My Heart.” 5uprise is a five-member acting idol group, which was created by the talent agency Fantagio in 2013.

5urprise is unique in that the group is comprised of actors, as opposed to vocalists who individually pursue acting careers. The goeup is comprised of Seo Kang Joon, Yoo Il, Kang Tae Oh, Go Myung, and Lee Tae Hwan. Fans of "Roommate" will recognize Seo Kang Joon, who has also starred in the MBC drama "Cunning Single Lady" and currently stars in the KBS2 weekend drama "What's With This Family?"

“From My Heart” is a sentimental ballad, which showcases the vocal composition of the group. It is an interesting choice for their leading debut track.

The single album also includes the dance-pop track "Jump." "Jump" highlights the ability of 5urprise to transition to faster paced songs, while maintaining their ability to harmonize. The composition of the song is reminiscent of groups like B1A4, which is promising for future releases from 5urprise.

"From My Heart" also includes instrumental versions of the title track and "Jump."

In addition to their new release, 5urprise is gearing up for another reason of their short drama "After School: Lucky or Not." Season one and two of "After School: Lucky or Not" can be viewed with English translation on DramaFever, with new episodes coming in late November.
