K-Drama OST Roundup: Tiger JK Lends His Voice To The ‘Pinocchio’ Soundtrack With ‘First Love’

Tiger JK has appeared on his first drama soundtrack with the song “First Love.” “First Love” is a midtempo hip-hop track which features vocals from Punch. The song was released on November 20 on part one of the “Pinocchio” soundtrack.

“Pinocchio” stars Lee Jong Suk and Park Shin Hye as rookie investigative reporters. The drama kicked off last week with the back story of Choi Dal Po (Lee Jong Suk), an unlikely genius who is nicknamed All-Zero as a reflection of his school grades.Park Shin Hye portrays In Ha, a girl who struggles with the fictitious ailment known as Pinocchio Syndrome, which forces people to hiccup whenever they tell a lie. Following a tragic childhood event, Choi Dal Po conceals his identity and lives with In Ha’s family as her uncle, who is the same age.

“Pinocchio” airs on SBS on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the 9:55 PM KST time slot.

Na Yoon Kwon and Sunny Hill’s Jubi soulfully sing the duet “Love One” for part two of the “Mr. Baek” soundtrack. “Love One” is a jazzy, easy listening track which will undoubtedly highlight romantic moments in “Mr. Baek.”

“Mr. Baek” is a supernatural drama which explores the life of Choi Go Bong, a cantankerous septuagenarian, has an opportunity to return to his youth. He conceals his true identity by taking on the persona of Choi Shin Hyeong, a previously unknown illegitimate son. Actor Shin Ha Kyun brilliantly portrays Go Bong and Shin Hyeong. Jang Na Ra makes her K-Drama return in “Mr. Baek,” following the success of “Fated to Love You.” Jang Na Ra portrays Eun Ha Soo, an employee at the hotel owned by Go Bong. She becomes the love interest of both Go Bong and his son, Choi Dae Han (MBLAQ Lee Joon).

“Mr. Baek” airs on MBC on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the 9:55 PM KST time slot.

Melody Day’s Cha Hee appears on part two of the “Tomorrow’s Cantabile” (Naeil’s Cantabile) soundtrack with “I Can’t.” “I Can’t” is a tender, emotionally charged ballad which sets the tone for the culmination of romance and professional pursuits that have been at the heart of “Tomorrow’s Cantabile.”

Episodes eleven and twelve of “Tomorrow’s Cantabile” explored Cha Yoo Jin’s inner-conflicts from the past along with Seo Nae Il’s apprehension at playing before an audience. Joo Won stars as Cha Yoo Jin, a piano prodigy who dreams of becoming a conductor. Shim Eun Kyung is Seo Nae Il, a whimsical pianist, whose capabilities extend past what she normally displays.

“Tomorrow’s Cantabile” airs on Mondays and Tuesdays in the 9:55 PM KST time slot.
