Kate Middleton And Prince William To Stay In The Carlyle Hotel, A Favorite Of Royals And A-Listers During Their Three-Day New York Trip!

The pregnant Kate Middleton and her husband, Prince William will use the The Carlyle Hotel as their base when they visit NYC next month.

The Carlyle Hotel is a perfect blend of luxury and residential hotel situated at on the northeast corner of Madison Avenue, in the Upper East Side area of New York City. Kate and William will be using this stunning hotel as their base next weekend when they arrive in New York for their three-day-trip.

The royal couple will carry out their official engagement in the US from Sunday December 7 to Tuesday December 9.

The renowned hotel designed in Art Deco style was named after Scottish essayist Thomas Carlyle and is owned by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts since 2001. The Carlyle Hotel is the closest to the hearts of royals and A-list celebrities.

In December 1995 Princess Diana stayed there when she visited New York for the United Cerebral Palsy's annual dinner and also Prince Charles and Camila used the hotel during their visit in the city back in November 2005. The Art Deco styled hotel has been visited by every American President since Truman and it is also frequented by A-listers including Mick Jagger, Tom Cruise and Victoria Beckham.


The renowned hotel boasts 180 rental rooms and suites, and 60 privately owned residences. The hotel's website describes itself as "an emblem of New York glamour and luxury.

"Nestled in the heart of the Upper East Side, the hotel is legendary for its first-class combination of discretion and grace."

The Carlyle was built by maternal grandfather of Rona Jaffe, Moses Ginsberg and designed by architects Bien & Prince. Prices range from $675 (£431) per night for two people in a humble Superior Room comprising of a King Bed to $15,000 (£9,580) per night for a star in the Empire Suite which is a vast three-bedroom duplex which comprises of 2,600 sq. ft. of living space and private art collection.

Although it is not disclosed which rooms the royals and their staff have gone for, however, the Empire Suite is not booked out for the dates of their stay implying they chosen simpler accommodation. Nevertheless, all rooms boasts luxury Kiehl's toiletries, bathrobes, a minibar and stunning interior-designed finishings.

The hotel is also home to the legendary Bemelmans bar where top musicians including Woody Allen and his Jazz band entertain celebrities.
