iPad Black Friday 2014: The iPad is a hot commodity come the day after Thanksgiving and a number of retailers are capitalizing on the appeal of this much-loved tablet. Walmart, Best Buy, Staples and a host of other places are selling the iPad Mini, iPad Air 2 and some other iPad variants at a discoun. Below are some details.

iPad Mini 16GB – Walmart

According to Yahoo! Finance, the iPad Mini 16GB variant with Wi-Fi will be available at Wal-Mart from 6 PM on Thanksgiving day. Walmart will be retailing the unit for $199, which is $20 less than the $219 price it’s being sold for now. Buyers will also get a $30 Wal-Mart gift card for every purchase. Yahoo! Finance also noted that this doorbuster deal is appealing thanks to its one-hour guarantee policy. If you arrive at a Walmart location between 6 PM and 7 PM, you can have the tablet shipped to your local Wal-Mart before Christimas even if quanities sold out.

iPad Air 2 – Best Buy

If you’re looking for a more recent variant of the Apple slab that’s available at a good deal, Best Buy is selling some of the newer iPads at a cheaper price. The newly unveiled iPad Mini 3 will be available for $75 off and the iPad Air 2 will be for sale at a $100 off.

iPad Mini 2 – Staples

The iPad Mini 2, the very first iPad with Retina Display, according to a Black Friday ad by the office supplies retailer will be available for $239, or $60 less than its current price. Staples will also be selling the iPad with Retina Display (also known as the iPad 3) for $279. ZDNet noted that the iPad 3 is a tablet that Apple no longer sells directly. The first generation iPad Air will also be made available at a discount, selling at $319.
