Pripyat, Chernobyl in Ukraine  the site of a catastrophic nuclear disaster that took place in April of 1986. For years, it was left empty and abandoned to avoid contamination. Pripyat is said to be "relatively safe" to visit these days, and some companies even offer tours in the area. The place may be more accessible, but filmmaker Danny Cooke's video seems to be the first one shot from a drone, offering a haunting view of the deserted town.
