Upcoming Windows Phones 2015: Are You Prepared For A Lumia With A Swivel Camera?

We all know that Nokia will soon be no more as we know it. That's because Microsoft will be taking over its upcoming Windows phones for 2015, particularly the Lumia lineup.

Microsoft has also launched its first ever Lumia smartphone, the Lumia 535 which is now available in the US via Expansys. However, the device is strictly in the midrange category with its 5-inch display (960 x 540) resolution, Snapdragon 200 chipset, 1GB of RAM, and two 5MP cameras.

But in case you are looking for something more high-end, there is a concept design of a new high-end Microsoft phone that packs a swivel camera.

Swivel camera technology is not a new thing in the industry, but this time the swivel part only encapsulates the lens portion, while the remaining portion of the upper part of the device will remain stationary.

In addition to the swivel camera, the device will boast a 4.7-inch screen with unknown resolution, including a frame of about 7mm thick. In the report, that measurement alone make it similar to that of the iPhone.

Microsoft has a long way to go before the market actually takes it seriously as a phone maker. Until it delivers decent hardware and performance for its new Lumia handsets, people would just consider the Redmond giant as a phone maker wannabe who used its financial power to take over Nokia.

Android is an ever expanding phone OS, but recently it seemed that there is no more room to go but down. As for emerging phone platforms like Windows Phone, Blackberry OS and even Jolla, the only way to go is up.
