The 'male duo' group craze has been making their way into the K-Pop scene.

Many new male duo groups have been coming out this year including JYP's JJ Project and Woolim Entertainment's Tasty. 

Although each of the group's music taste is different, the fact that they are an idol group and a male duo has gained them much attention.

Most K-Pop groups have 5 or more members, so these duo groups are to be seen as a rare number for a group. 

Some feel that these duo groups have come out because in the midst of all these large member groups, having a duo come out allows them to gain much attention in no time.

There were many successful male duo groups in the 90s such as Turbo and Deuce. These groups had great vocals as well as powerful dance moves.

One media commented, "Because there aren't that many male duo groups these days, its nice for them to come out and show the public that there are different types of groups other than idols."

One entertainment agency commented, "Having only 2 members can be hard, but they can fill up the empty spaces with more energy and try new things as well. Having 2 members can be good because they can perform in more places and can have their own opinions when producing songs."
