Lady GaGa's Monsters Embrace Their Insecurities With 'Body Revolution'

Lady GaGa's campaign against critics who have publically scrutinized her apparent weight gain is having more of an impact than they had imagined. GaGa launched the "Body Revolution 2013" campaign, a new section of her Born This Way Foundation, which encourages her fans and others to stand against discrimination and to accept themselves for who they are.

She started her campaign on her fansite with four revealing photos of herself in only underwear and openly admitted her insecurities and that she had suffered from bulimia and anorexia since she was 15.

On Wednesday, she tweeted saying, "We've had literally thousands of submissions to BODY REVOLUTION 2013 on littlemonsters.com. I'd like to give you applause, so happy."

Her fans responded instantly to her message of inspiring bravery and compassion and also was encouraged by the very revealing and personal photos that she shared. They are also finding a new outlet in "Body Revolution 2013," talking amongst themselves and sharing their own personal struggles in order to find support in the other fans. Some fans talked about their own insecurities and how Lady GaGa's new campaign has now encouraged to look at themselves differently.

One fan uploaded a photo of herself in a wheel chair, "My body revolution. 1 and 1/2 legs and proud of it. Gaga makes me stronger than I thought I could ever be."

In response to that fan's photo, another fan said, "Wow you are so beautiful! And your smile is gorgeous, you are fabulous and keep staying strong."

Another Gaga supporter, Leonardo Battani, posted a photo of just his hand stating, "I was born with genetic malformations on the left hand and left chest, my dream is to play piano as f---ing well as Gaga, it's hard, but I will make it!!"

Fans quickly responded, with one saying, "And you'll post a video of you playing piano so we can see how talented your are. Talented and combative. You're grazing perfection you Monster!"
