Samsung Ranked No.9 in Best Global Brands 2012!

Hyundai Motors is currently ranked 53rd in the list of top global brands, while KIA Motors is ranked 87th.

For the very first time, the value of Samsung was ranked as one of the "Top 10 Global Brands."

Hyundai Motors ranked 53rd, which is 8 spots above last year's results, while Kia entered the Top 100 for the first time.

World's leading consulting group Interbrand announced the "Best Global Brands" on October 2. According to the list, Samsung is valued at $329 billion USD, ranking 9th after skipping over 8 spots since last year.

Compared to last year, the value of Samsung increased by 40%, which is way above the average growth rate of 10% for Best 100 Brands and 16% for corporations in general.

The significant increase in the value of Samsung is assumed to be the result of the success of their Galaxy smartphone series, as well as their televisions that have been rated as the best in the world. Samsung seems to have achieved successful results from continuous and consistent global marketing strategy.

Samsung also kept up with the consumer trends in order to create products that are high in demand, which undoubtedly led to their significant increase in company value.

In the Best 100 Global Brands list, there were other Korean brands like Hyundai Motors and Kia Motors.

Hyundai Motors was the first to enter the top 100 in 2005 when they were valued at $35 billion USD. The value of Hyundai went up by 24.4% to $75 billion USD, placing 53rd.

Kia Motors is ranked 87th with the value of approximately $40 billion USD. Compared to its value in 2007, the value of Kia motors increased by 273% and 50% compared to last year.

Interbrand revealed, "Kia Motors has been on the climb for 17 years in Europe and in the United States. Kia Motors is the fastest growing brand that stands out from the rest because of its ability to recognize the demands of the consumers."

Factors like financial situation, marketing and expected income are considered by Interbrand annually to calculate the value of each global brand.
