"Dead Island" movie is ready to hit the big screen sooner than you think!

Its previous deal with Lionsgate in 2011 has the zombie game ready to make its way on theaters and is expected to blow people's minds off.

This is reported to be the second time that the game would be adapted to the big screen after publisher Deep Silver tries his luck for the second time.

In a report by Deadline, Silver is working with Occupant Entertainment to help produce the film.

"The Dead Island universe offers a rich and unique setting that can expand beyond the pure gaming experience," Deep Silver owner Koch Media CEO Dr. Klemens Kundratitz revealed. "We are very much looking forward to seeing Dead Island open up to new audiences and showing off the fun everybody at Deep Silver has with this brand."

"Dead Island" movie may be set in between the first and second installation of the film or even be based on the trailers that the creators have published recently.

"Deep Silver has created a highly successful game franchise based on very cinematic, widely viewed and well received trailers, which provide a great template for launching a film franchise with a distinctive and commercial take on the zombie apocalypse," said Occupant Entertainment's Joe Neurauter and Felipe Marino.

The said trailer had a huge success with its viewers after it gained millions of views on YouTube as it is packed with top notch graphics, which was also awarded by Golden Lion Award during th International Festival of Creativity at Cannes, which started the reports of Lionsgate being interested with the film adaptation.

According to Occupant they are now in the hunt for the film's director and the project is set to start next year.
