Miley Cyrus boyfriend Patrick Schwarzenegger might be proud of his new girlfriend when in public but it appears that he wasn't able to stand up for her in a recent family affair. Reports are circulating that the former Disney actress got banned from attending her beau's sister's birthday bash.

Hollywood Life reports that Cyrus did not get invited to Katherine Schwarzenegger's 25^th birthday party on December 13. Although the event's attendees included family and friends, the "Last Song" star was noticeably absent from the affair allegedly because the family didn't believe that she was "fit" into their world.

Previously, it has been reported that Miley Cyrus boyfriend Patrick Schwarzenegger's mother Maria Shriver already warmed up to the "So Undercover" actress. However, this allegedly did not stop the concerned mother from having a "sit down" with the male model. She reportedly told her son to consider his "school and family more seriously than Miley."

The publication's source adds that the young Schwarzenegger's ex-girlfriend would have been added to the party's guest list. Miley Cyrus boyfriend allegedly had no choice but to follow her sister's request because he cared for her.

The new couple remains mum about the latest issue about them. They were recently photographed in Beverly Hills while doing their Christmas shopping. An eyewitness told E! News that the two did not only hold hands but also "appeared happy and seemed to be great moods. They are really affectionate with one another. They look like a really happy couple."

"He is definitely falling hard for her and she really is liking all the attention he is giving her. This is something that is going to last," another source predicted.
