American actress and singer Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have welcomed their second child, a daughter named Delta.

The couple took to Twitter on Friday, December 9 to announce the news. 

Shepard tweeted, "Delta Bell Shepard is here. She doesn't look like either ?@IMKristenBell? or me, but we're gonna keep her anyway. ?#christmascameearly?"

Bell also tweeted, "The estrogen has now hit critical mass! Good luck, @daxshepard1.  And welcome to the world DELTA BELL SHEPARD :)"

The message was accompanied by a picture of what seemed to be a mother gorilla hand clutching her baby's hand. But if you want to see an actual picture of Delta, well, you will have to wait.

Back in June, Us confirmed that 34-year-old, Kristen Bell and the 'Parenthood' star, Dax Shepard, 39, were expecting again. A rep for the couple told Us at the time, "The whole family is beyond excited."

Kristen and Dax who were married in 2013, have a daughter, Lincoln who is 21 months old. In order to honor their relationship, he recently debuted a cute tattoo of a bell on his wedding finger.

Although Shepard had hinted that more kids could be in their future, the star couple kept the gender of their baby a secret throughout the pregnancy. During his recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Shepard joked, "We're building a circus," he added, "Eventually, we want to get in a band and tour the country."

Talking about their experience as parents, the 'Veronica Mars' star recalled how she surprised herself by how well she handled having a newborn the first time around. She told RedBook magazine, "We've tried not to freak out, and I think we've done a good job so far," she added, "But we also have tons of resources. There are hospitals, there's the Internet, there's 911. We took the baby to a CPR class, so there's really nothing to freak out about."

The couple's decision to adopt pets before deciding to have a child of their own may too have helped.

"Dax and I made a pact that we'd be second-child parents," she explained. "We wouldn't take all that nervous energy out on our first [child]. Instead we took it out on our dogs!"

While Bell will be lending her voice to the upcoming Disney short Frozen Fever, which we guess both Lincoln and Delta will enjoy, the couple's latest bundle of joy comes at a perfect time for Shepard. The actor filmed the final scenes for his NBC show 'Parenthood' earlier this month giving the actor more time to spend with their kids and also for changing diapers for the newest member of the family, right Kristen?

Apparently, Christmas has come early for the family. Congratulations to the happy couple.
