Samsung Galaxy J1 Specs Leaked; Release Date Of Entry-Level Smartphone Possibly In CES 2015 Or MWC Event?

Specs and release date rumors for the entry-level smartphone Samsung Galaxy J1 emerge online.

Samsung Galaxy SM-J100 specs were recently leaked with reports noting that the smartphone that is perfect for those on a budget will be equipped with 4.3-inch WVGA TF LCD screen with display resolution of 480 x 800.

Moreover, citing Phone Arena, Gospel Herald also reported that the Samsung Galaxy J1 processor will be the 64-bit Marvell PXDA 1908 quad-core chipset with a clockspeed of 1.2GHz. It will be paired with 1 GB RAM and will have 4 GB of internal memory storage with room for expansion via external memory.

For the  Samsung Galaxy J1 shooting specs, tech enthusiasts can expect that the upcoming smartphone will have 5 MP lens for primary camera, while the front cam will get 2 MP. On board, the smartphone will run on Android 4.4. KitKat.

Samsung Galaxy J1 will have 1850 mAh battery capacity. The smartphone will also have LTE connectivity.

Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy J1 release date is not official yet but tech experts are speculating that the smartphone will be announced next year. Most likely, the Galaxy J1 might get an unveil either during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2015) slated this January or during the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015) happening from March 2-5.

Phone Arena noted that the South Korean tech titan's move to release Samsung Galaxy J1 shows that it is really simplifying its smartphone lineup for next year. The post reads:

"Instead of Galaxy Core, Mega, Zoom, Young, Epic and the like, we're getting neat and tidy alphabet letters - just like with the Galaxy S5. Less devices and a more focused catalog is a welcome move by the company whose strategy of frantically producing overly similar devices mostly led to unsold stock and customer confusion."
