Big Bang Vow To Return To The Stage At Singapore's 50th Anniversary Of National Independence

Group Big Bang attended Singapore’s 50th anniversary of independence event and announced their plans to comeback as a group this year.

On December 31, Big Bang attended the SG50 Countdown Party event at the Marina Bay and performed as the headliner.

This event was to celebrate Singapore’s 50th anniversary of independence. It was also an event to ring in the new year as well as it was celebrated on December 31 at 9 PM until early New Years day.

This event was aired on Singapore’s channel 5 and their President, Tony Tan Keng Yam, also appeared at the event to celebrate the country’s anniversary.

Unlike past years, this event grew two times in size in terms of location and had all tickets sold out early on. Singapore invited both Singaporean and Malaysian stars to this event to perform congratulatory stages as well.

A YG official reported that they chose Big Bang to perform the finale concert instead of a Singapore singer due to their enormous fan base in Asia.

After ringing in the new year with fireworks, Big Bang began their performance for about 50 minutes. They performed many of their hit songs from “Good Boy”, “Feeling”, “Fantastic Baby” and more. Fans and media alike were seen singing along to their songs, according to reports.

At this event, G-Dragon made a special announcement, “We are planning something big for this year. We will be making a comeback with a new album and new tour. We will return with great music and performances.”

Member Taeyang also made an announcement that he would be holding his solo tour of Asia concert, Rise, in Singapore on February 8.

On the other hand, Big Bang is currently on their 5 dome tour concert in Japan, making them the first foreign artist to hold a dome tour 2 years in a row.
