It would appear there's more terrifying fun to be had while running from creepy and deadly animatronics at night.

That is, if you've managed to play the game without having a heart attack first.

After the release of the wildly successful PC horror game "Five Nights at Freddy's," creator Scott Cawthon has finally confirmed that the series will not end with it's sequel "Five Nights at Freddy's 2." Currently the official website for the game as well as Cawthon's email confirms that he is working on "Five Nights at Freddy's 3."

"I am still here," reads the teaser image for the upcoming "Five Nights at Freddy's 3."

While some fans may be excited at the prospect of a new "Five Nights at Freddy's," many fans are shocked at how quickly the games are being released.

"Releasing more games faster than ‘ Assassin's Creed'? Ubisoft's gotta step up their game," commented Arasthel on Siliconera.

"FNAF is like the ‘Paranormal Activity of Video Games', the first was released and gained a huge following with such a simple formula and concept, so more and more get released," commented Cyrus.

Given at how popular both previous versions of "Five Nights at Freddy's" did so well, perhaps one cannot fault Cawthon for working to produce a new game while fans are still reeling.

In addition to the teaser image on the game's website, if you email Cawthon his automatic reply reads, "‘Five Nights at Freddy's 3' is in production! Please do not email me asking any questions about it; NO questions about FNaF3 will be read or answered!"

For those who may have missed the indie game hype when it first began, "Five Nights at Freddy's" is a PC game sold on Steam that places players on the nightshift at "Freddy Fazbear's Pizza" and their main job is to survive the night while the animatronics come after you. While it may not seem scary in terms of premise, a quick read through the comments on Steam and you'll believe it.
