It looks the new game details and updates for Grand Theft Auto 6 have been revealed.

Grand Theft Auto, an action-adventure video game series created by David Jones and Mike Daily. The later titles were created Dan and Sam Houser, Leslie Benzies and Aaron Garbut. Primarily developed by Rockstar Noth and published by Rocktar Games, the name of the series is taken from a term referring to motor vehicle theft.

On 17 September 2013, the fifth instalment in the series, GTA 5 was released for the PlayStaion 3 and Xbox 360. It was released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 18th November 2014 and is slated to be released on 27 January 2015 for Microsoft Windows.

Citing the huge success of GTA 5, it's not a surprise that gamers around the world are already anticipating its next installment, 'Grand Theft Auto 6.' Although the game developers has not made any official announcement regarding its release, there is a possibility of GTA 6 being released in the next two years, said Master Herald. Apparently, the long agonizing wait for fans of the video game, may just be exactly how long it takes for the title to yet again go beyond expectations, noted Latinos Post.

Rumours suggest that GTA 6 may only be released for PlayStation 4. According to a January 5 report for Master Herald, the latest rumors regarding the next installment of one of the fastest selling games available indicate that it may be released in 2017. However, it is important to note that this leaked information only applies to PlayStation 4 players. There is no information that reveals by when Xbox One users can enjoy the game. Arash Fekri from Master Herald pointed out that the Microsoft console absence in the leaked information is rather uncommon.

After Rockstar changed the way GTA was played in its fifth instalment in the series, GTA 5, it saw huge success among players. According to a report by The Fuse Joplin, the gaming company finally decided to merge three characters in the story, giving players the option to choose who they would prefer to play as Michael -- Franklin or Trevor.

Speculations on what new could be expected in Grand Theft Auto 6 are already a plenty as early as now. If word is anything to go by, the next instalment will allow players to portray themselves as female main character, said Master Herald.

While Master Herald said that GTA 6 would be out for the PS4 in 2017, a report in December by The Fuse Joplin speculated that GTA 6 was made exclusively for Xbox One. The report entertained the probability of Microsoft grabbing the next GTA for Xbox gamers citing the price drop of Xbox One console and the company's desire for exclusive content.

Until Rockstar Games make an official announcement on the next GTA, one thing we know that GTA 5 is expected to come to PC on January 27, 2015.
