SM Entertainment’s award-winning group EXO has received another award. On January 8, EXO-M were the recipients of the Most Popular International Band award at the 14th Huading Awards in China.

EXO-M’s Chen and Lay were on hand to accept the award for the group. The duo also attended the Red Carpet prior to the ceremony. 

On January 7, Chinese media outlets weighed in on the possibility of a win for EXO at the Huading Awards. Winners at the Huading Awards were determined by votes cast by professionals and fans. 

EXO were among a star-studded list of nominees which included One Direction, Maroon 5, Chinese K-pop duo Tasty, and the Chopstick Brothers of "Little Apple" fame. 

In late 2014, EXO-K and EXO-M increased their promotional activities in China, demonstrating the capacity for the group to function in the region without Kris or Luhan. Fans of EXO were saddened when Kris (Wu Yi Fan) departed from the group in May, followed by Luhan.

The group continued a winning streak through award season, claiming major honors at the 2014 Mnet Asian Music Awards. 

EXO concluded 2014 on a strong note with the release of their live album and the winter track “December, 2014.”
