Super Junior Become 1st K-Pop Act To Perform In Thailand For 6 Consecutive Years

Super Junior made K-pop history in front of 20,000 fans this past weekend, during the Bangkok leg of their Super Show 6 World Tour.

According to local publication the Bangkok Post, Super Junior became the first Korean pop act to perform in Thailand for six consecutive years.

The group did not disappoint, performing a parade of their hit songs like “Mamacita,” “Sorry, Sorry” and “Mr. Simple.” Performing in different configurations throughout the concert, the group performed 34 songs in roughly three hours.

According to reports in local media outlets, several Thailand celebrities were seen at the Super Junior show, including the singer Stamp. While fans held up posters that read, “Still Here” and “Hold Elf Hands.”

On Friday, over 800 fans appeared at the airport to greet the group’s arrival in Thailand. Due to the overwhelming crowd, security had to escort the group through a VIP route in order to prevent any potential incidents.

The Super Junior tour will head to Shanghai on Feb. 7.
