Her baby bump isn't the only delightful news coming pregnant Zooey Deschanel's way as the "New Girl" star and boyfriend Jacob Pechenik announce their engagement. The news follows a week after the 35-year-old actress confirmed her pregnancy.

She and Pechenik are both "over the moon" with the news.

While there's no wedding date yet, Us Weekly confirms that the 42-year-old producer already popped the million-dollar question. The two are expecting their first child together.

Prior to Pechenik, the "500 Days of Summer" actress was married to Death Cab for Cutie vocalist Ben Gibbard from 2009 to 2012. They claim to have had an amicable split.

In a previous interview with Cosmo UK, the doe-eyed beauty even said that her belief on true love wouldn't change. Her reason?

"My parents have been married for 40 years and my grandparents were married for 70 years. I come from a long line of true loves," she gushed.

Meanwhile, despite Zooey Deschanel being pregnant, actor Jake Johnson thinks that Jessica Day won't have a baby bump in "New Girl."

"It'd be a weird Three Men and a Baby vibe... just imagine how weird Winston would be around that baby!" he told E! News.

Nonetheless, the 36-year-old actor has nothing but praises for Deschanel who he thinks will be a doting mother, "I'm excited for her. We're really excited. She and Jacob are so excited and I couldn't be happier for Zooey. She's a good friend and this is an awesome thing in her life. I think she's going to be a great mum."

It appears that Zooey Deschanel does not plan on quitting the show despite her baby bump. In a previous interview with Collider, she talked about her desire to be in the show for a long time.

"I think this opportunity became really appealing to me because the material is so great. I have so much fun. I love that I get to work with these people, every day. The thought of doing it for a long time is actually really exciting to me, and I just feel really lucky to be involved in the show," she gushed.
