Sunderland will face off against rival Burnley FC on Saturday in a Week 23 match of the English Premier League season. 

Sunderland, coming out of a 2-1 loss to Tottenham, is expected to be the favorite. The team is currently ranked number 16 in the league. 

Burnley FC, coming out of a 3-2 loss to Crystal Palace, is likely to be the underdog of the match. It is ranked number 17 in the league. 

Currently, the top three scorers within the league are Diego Costa of Chelsea with 17 goals, Sergio Agüero of Manchester City with 14 goals and Charlie Austin of the Queens Park Rangers with 13 goals.

Transfer rumors also surround the English Premier League: Burnley administration has warned Liverpool about setting up a loan deal with Danny Ings because it would break the league's rules.

"This type of move would violate Premier League rule V7 regarding transfers, so simply cannot happen," Burnley chief executive Lee Hoos said, according to the Daily Mail. 

"This is the last time we will be making any comment regarding the player's future."
