Katy Perry had a lot of fun teasing fans and the media about who would be her surprise guest at the Super Bowl 2015 halftime show. Missy Elliot joined Katy Perry and took the stage with a surprise performance! Lenny Kravitz also performed.

Katy Perry took the stage of the Super Bowl 2015 halftime show with her usual peppy style, full of camp, bright colors, cheesy graphics, and catchy tunes. She opened her performance with "Roar," riding a metallic feline creature. She then transitioned to "Dark Horse" with a graphic 3D stage, then changed to a bright set on a beach and dancing sharks and beach balls for "Teenage Dream." 

Katy and Lenny Kravitz sang "I Kissed A Girl" together, a funky and cool rock-and-roll version.

Then Missy Elliot appeared at the Super Bowl 2015 halftime show, performing her classics like "Work It" and "Lose Control." Katy joined her for a bit, wearing an oversized hoody.

Lastly, Katy impressively performed "Firework," suspended from a star-shaped holster with sparklers firing up behind her. She was carried around the stage, while real fireworks burst above the stadium.

Some may have been hesitant about the choice for Katy Perry as the Super Bowl 2015 halftime show performance, but she proved tonight that she is the queen of entertainment.

A person familiar with the plans for Sunday's Super Bowl 2015 halftime show told The Associated Press on Thursday that Grammy-winner Missy Elliott will make a surprise appearance during Katy Perry's performance.

Fans will remember that Missy Elliott was featured on a remix of Katy Perry's song "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" in 2011.

During a news conference Thursday, Perry hinted at Elliott's involvement in the Super Bowl 2015 halftime show, which also will feature Lenny Kravitz.

She said an "old school" female singer would join her on the stage and make a surprise appearance.

"When you hear the first ring of the chord," Perry promised, "I think jaws will drop and faces will melt."
