Suge Knight Facing Life In Prison? Rap Mogul's Bail Revoked [PHOTO]

Rap mogul and co-founder of Death Row Records Marion "Suge" Knight has officially been charged with murder and attempted murder after a fatal hit-and-run in Compton last week. His bail of $2.2 million has also been revoked as a consequence of his criminal past.

More specifically, L.A. County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Nicole Nishida stated that Knight's bail was revoked due to "possible flight risk, three-strike candidate, possible witness intimidation issues and his criminal past."

According to the LA Times, the 49-year-old is accused of running over Terry Carter and Cle "Bone" Sloan with his truck, killing Carter and injuring Sloan in the process. Carter is known to be the owner and founder of Heavyweight Records, and was arguing with Knight on the set of a promo for the N.W.A. biopic "Straight Outta Compton" before his death.

Darcell Carraway, a close friend of Carter's, said that he does not know Knight but believes that hit-and-run was a tragic accident. He stated, "It's just a tragedy to lose somebody like this."

Knight also claims that the crime was accidental - CNN reports that he pleaded not guilty this past Tuesday in court. In fact, Knight's attorney David Kenner is of the opinion that Knight was attempting to flee from an attack during the incident. Kenner stated, "It's too early to tell, but clearly from what I understand, he was being attacked and trying to get away from that attack, no more than that. It's not his fault."

However, Sgt. Richard Biddle of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department disagrees, and thinks that the crime "looks like an intentional act."

Knight's criminal past is certainly not doing him any favors. His being behind the wheel during the unsolved murder of passenger and popular rapper Tupac Shakur won't please the jury. Neither will his frequent prison attendance and his more recent 2008 arrest on suspicion of drug possession and aggravated assault.
