'The Last: Naruto The Movie' Sequel 'Boruto' Plot To Feature A Love Story Between Hinata And Sakura's Children? Masashi Kishimoto Talks!

It has been made public that "The Last: Naruto The Movie" sequel is happening following the record breaking success of Masashi Kishimoto's manga in Japan.

The project with the working title "Boruto: Naruto The Movie" will reportedly be released in cinemas sometime in August this year.

Together with the announcement of the sequel, creator Masashi Kishimoto also hinted that the plot would feature Hinata and Sakura's children, Boruto and Sarada.

"I conceived a story in which Bolt and [Sasuke's daughter] Sarada appears. Sasuke and Sakura also appear," Kishimoto revealed according to Anime News Network.

While, he did not specifically reveal the details on Boruto and Sarada's role in "The Last: Naruto The Movie" sequel, speculations soon arise that it will feature a love interest between the two.

He failed to mention though, if Naruto and Hinata's daughter will also appear in the upcoming sequel.

Kishimoto also added that even if the highly successful manga has already ended, he did not stop working on the characters, specifically Boruto's (Bolt) special fighting skills.

"Even though the manga ended, I haven't taken a break," he explained.

"I am also thinking about Bolt's lethal technique."

Junko Takeuchi, Naruto's voice actor, also confirmed the news of the sequel.

"I can't possibly guess what's it about. But I'll enjoy it," he admitted referring to the possible plot details of "The Last: Naruto The Movie" sequel.

Masashi Kishimoto's last movie is currently holding the record for the highest opening sales in the "Naruto" franchise. And since the film will also arrive in theaters in the U.S. on February, it is expected that the sales will grow.
