‘Expendables 4' Star Sylvester Stallone Shares Possible Plot Details – Possibility Of Time Travel In Sequel Discussed

"Expendables 4" star Sylvester Stallone graced an interview with well-known movie website Crave Online, where he gamely shared details of the upcoming action packed film.

For starters, the creator of the franchise insisted that the movie is all about "brotherhood" and it's "about companionship, that no man stands alone in this world."

The 68-year-old veteran action star also shared possible plot details for the "Expendables 4"

The fourth installment of the franchise is rumored to feature a time travel story line where the Expendables would travel back to WWII to face the infamous dictator Adolf Hitler, as pitched by director Patrick Hughes.

"I have actually entertained the idea of putting the group into such an unnatural environment that it, in an of itself, creates extra suspense and tension: the 'fish out of water scenario. That environment might not be time travel, but nearly just as jarring," Sylvester Stallone explained.

The director of "Expendables 3" previously said that he already has an idea of the sequel's possible plot.

"Seriously, if you're going to do a number four, break outside the box. Let's do something really different," he explained referring to his conversation with Sylvester Stallone during an earlier interview with Crave Online.

"I was like, 'You need to add a level of sci-fi.' So it's an action sci-fi. The slant of the sci-fi is something to do with a time machine, where they go through some void, right? And The Expendables land on the beach on D-Day, and it's them sweeping the Nazis out of France!" he added.

Furthermore, Sylvester Stallone has admitted that he made a big mistake when he allowed "Expendables 3" to be rated as PG-13, which reportedly caused the action movie to fail in the box office in addition to the piracy issue.

"Absolutely unequivocally yes. I believe it was a horrible miscalculation on everyone's part in trying to reach a wider audience, but in doing such, diminish the violence that the audience expects. I'm quite certain it won't happen again," he explained claiming that the upcoming "Expendables 4" should be given an R-rated instead.
