Pregnant Milla Jovovich Is Getting In Healthy Shape For Birth And Fighting Shape For ‘Resident Evil’ Role; Milla In Talks To Play In George R. R. Martin Movie

Milla Jovovich, who is seven weeks away from giving birth, is getting in shape. The actress doesn't want any health issues to cause undue stress. The "Resident Evil" star is expecting her second child with husband Paul W.S. Anderson. Milla will have to love that baby bump weight quickly for her upcoming roles.

Milla Jovovich took to her Facebook to announce that "Resident Evil - The Final Chapter," the concluding installment in the franchise, will begin filming in August.

"I'm really proud of myself for not gaining the same amount of weight that I did with our first child (75 lbs.) because I have to be ready to start filming 'Resident Evil- The Final Chapter' in August of this year and I will also be nursing an infant simultaneously (get ready wardrobe department for Alice's new "easy mama access" costume;)) so I don't want to be on any extreme diets to get ready to go back to 'action hero' mode," Jovovich wrote on Facebook.

"I've gained all the baby weight I need to have healthy pregnancy... and as of last week, I've started having to be really careful about my lifestyle so I don't continue to gain unnecessarily; which is not healthy for me OR my newborn," Jovovich added.

"I've started taking long walks to keep my metabolism in high gear and working on a game plan with my trainer. I also want to be the healthiest I can to ensure the easiest delivery and no stress post birth when I have established a nursing routine," she continued.

Jovovich is also reportedly in talks to star in an adaptation of "Winds of Winter" writer George R.R. Martin's short story "In the Lost Lands." Jovovich will play sorceress Gray Alys.

"It's a thrill to have her be a part of this, and I will look forward to seeing her bring Gray Alys to life," said George R. R. Martin on his website. He added that the casting might inspire him to write a sequel. "Game of Thrones" fans are still awaiting "Winds of Winter," the next book in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series.

According to Variety, "In the Lost Lands," will be directed by German filmmaker Constantin Wener, who helmed the controversial 2009 fantasy film "The Pagan Queen."

"Resident Evil - The Final Chapter" was expected to begin filming in 2014, but was postponed due to the Ukrainian actor's pregnancy.
