Michael Bay To Direct A Thundercats Movie? ‘X Men Apocalypse’ Star James McAvoy Expresses Interest On Lion O Role

Rumors boil down for another 80s cartoon to be turned into a live action film as Thundercats is speculated to hit the movie theaters in the near future.

Rumors and speculations claim that "Transformers" director Michael Bay will bring the animated series to the big screen has fans excited on how Lion O and the rest of the characters would be like in the movie.

After the success of the latest "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" that reportedly turned some Michael Bay doubters into fans, some speculate that what the multi-awarded director can put on the table for TMNT could have the same quality seen on a possible Thundercats movie.

Expressing his interest in making the film, "X Men: Apocalypse" actor James McAvoy is willing to give it a shot if ever Thundercats be made into a film and said that he wants to play the Lion O role if ever it will be done and offered to him.

As reported by Games Radar, McAvoy claimed that a live action movie of the series "needs to be made."

"I would love to see a Thundercats movie but it's never going to happen," he claimed in an interview with Total Film. "Lion-O is something great for any actor out there"

Also, he claimed that he got the idea of the film after seeing a fan made trailer posted online where it featured Brad Pitt, Hugh Jackman and Vin Diesel appearing in the film.

"There is a great trailer for Thundercats where they took Brad Pitt and made him Lion-O, Hugh Jackman as Tygra and Vin Diesel as Panthro," the actor also said.
