"Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens" will be closing off this year at the box office when it premieres on Dec. 19, the seventh film of the long-running series is expected to continue the saga started by creator George Lucas in 1977.

"The Force Awakens" is directed by "Star Trek" visionary J.J. Abrams and stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher reprising their roles as Luky Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia Organa, respectively. The movie is also set to introduce new talents: British upcomers Daisy Ridley of "Mr. Selfridge" and John Boyega of "Attack The Block," Adam Driver of TV show "Girls," as well as Lupita Nyong'O of "12 Years a Slave," Oscar Isaac of "A Most Violent Year," Domnhall Gleeson of "About Time" and "Game of Thrones" actress Gwendoline Christie.

Making Star Wars is a page who is by far the most credible when it comes to bringing "Episode 7" and they provided a footage description of a scene filmed at the Pinewood Studios in London.

Theories on the new characters:

• Rey (played by Ridley) is widely belived to be Han and Leia's daughter.
• Domnhall Gleeson is believed to be Luke Skywalker's son.
