Tottenham, coming out of a 3-2 loss to Liverpool, was expected to be the underdog of the match. The team is currently ranked number seven in the league. 

West Ham United, coming out of a Southampton, was considered the favorite of the match. It is ranked number eight in the league. 

Currently, the top three scorers within the league are Sergio Agüero of Manchester City with 17 goals, Diego Costa of Chelsea with 17 goals and Charlie Austin of the Queens Park Rangers with 14 goals.

Sky Television and BT Sport are currently in talks with the Premier League over rights to broadcast season matches, which are centered over payment methods and customer access.  

"There will be a significant gap, of around 17 months, between the auction and the start of the 2016/2017 season when broadcasting of the relevant matches will commence," Virgin Media wrote in a recent statement, according to The Standard. 

"In the event that Ofcom's investigation concludes that there is an infringement, Ofcom has the necessary powers to require the Premier League and Premier League clubs to make changes to arrangements for the broadcasting of matches within the time available before the start of the relevant season."
