'K-Pop Star' Contestant Lee Jin Ah Praised By American Singer Jason Mraz

American musician Jason Mraz had some words for contestants of SBS's K-Pop Star 4.

The American singer appeared on the February 19 episode of the SBS music competition, appearing in their episode for the Lunar New Year. Mraz filmed with the cast in November, when he was in the country to hold four concerts. He sat down with K-Pop Star 4's contestants, and was wowed by the contestants. Lee Jin Ah in particular stood out to the musician.

"Wow, right on. Wow, very cool," Mraz said immediately after hearing Lee Jin Ah's unique vocal style. He then recaptured the microphone and gave his feedback to the singer after her performance of "Time Slowing Down."

"That was marvelous. Like Michael Franks right there, I don't know if you know Michael Franks but that just happened. That was awesome; definitely definitely keep doing what you're doing. IT has so much soul, originality, but it also nods to that jazz, soul, funk, that beauty. You have something that's very special. And what an awesome, magical, spiritual experience that is. Lose yourself in the music, not the competition."

Along with Lee Jin Ah, K-Pop Star 4's Lily Morrow also garnered feedback from Mraz. The young singer performed Demi Lovato's "Skyscraper."

Morrow and Lee are two of the top ten of the latest season of K-Pop Star 4, along with Seo Ye An, Sparkling Girls, Park Yoon Ha, Ji John, Jung Seung Hwan, Esther Kim, Grace Shin, and Katie Kim.

K-Pop Star 4 is the fourth season of the music competition show, which began airing in 2011. The show is currently judged by JYP Entertainment's CEO Park Jin Young, YG Entertainment's Yang Hyun Suk, and singer-songwriter Yoo Hee Yeol.
