JYJ's Junsu (XIA) Is A Post Apocalypse King In 'Flower' Music Video

JYJ's Junsu, who uses the solo stage name XIA, released a dramatic and intricate music video for his "Flower" comeback single.

In the video, Junsu played the brooding king of a post-apocalyptic world, who faced political rebellion and uncontrollable flashbacks of his haunted past. The cinematographic wonder featured masterful special effects, lavish sets, teacups of melted gold, severed robotic heads, theatrical costumes, and more!

The poetic lyrics claimed, "The cruelly trampled flower...The countless scars that imprison me...They're like sad thorns that dig into me." The song continued by stressing the importance of adversity and overcoming public pain and ridicule. "Don't cry. You've become the world's hot topic, then you turn into ash. Then they take away each piece of you: your life, your soul, your world. They cannot kill it."

The song also featured a melancholic rap by Epik High's Tablo.

Junsu's fans loved the complex music video and lyrical plot. One of the top rated comments under the video, by Naylaomen32, exclaimed, "This is not common K-pop...this is pure art! I can't say in words how brilliant it is...Xia never does anything less than perfection."

Junsu's third solo album Flower will be released on Mar. 3. The album contains 13 tracks that cover a range of genres, from experimental ballads to urban dance pop songs. Junsu took an active role in the production of his album, composing and writing all of his songs.
