2015 NFL Draft & Trade Rumors: Does The Cleveland Browns Roster Exclude Johnny Manziel After Josh McCown's Contract Signing?

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Josh McCown has signed a contract with the Cleveland Browns, sparking draft and trade rumors on social media suggesting that Johnny Manziel may be excluded from the team's upcoming roster.

However, Josh McCown has announced that he wants to help Johnny Manziel as much as he can.

"Just life in general is too short to go through it alone or just looking out for yourself all the time," McCown said, according to NFL

"So if you can give up yourself to others to help someone else in their journey, I just think you'll find so much more peace in life. So that's my approach when I head into a quarterback room. It's just what can I give back to the guys around me to help us be better? Because ultimately it's going to help our team."

Cleveland Browns coach Mike Pettine revealed last week that he believes quarterback Johnny Manziel is in a "better place" since entering rehabilitation treatment earlier this month, the Washington Times reports.

The announcement has sparked rumors that the player may soon end his time in rehab and resume his contract with the team.

"He's in a much better place now than when he went in," Pettine said, according to the site.

"He's very determined to come out of it in a much better way."

Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan highlighted Johnny Manziel's contributions to the Cleveland Browns during a recent interview, declining to share specifics about his rehab program.

"Johnny's a great guy, and I think he does get a little bit of a bad rep with that, because Johnny worked very hard for me," Shanahan told ESPN.

"I really enjoyed coaching him."
