While fans can't help but wonder about Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's baby, the 38-year-old actor is determined to keep things private. The couple, who welcomed their firstborn last December, have yet to reveal their daughter's name or her exact birth date.

Nylon previously reported that the newborn has been named "Violet." One of Westchester Medical Center's workers unknowingly revealed the name in a tweet.

"Congrats@blakelively #blakelively glad to have you and baby girl violet in our care," read the tweet from an account with the username @kimbanksy.

The couple, however, didn't say anything about the reports.

In an interview with Associated Press, the "Green Lantern" actor explained his reason to protect their daughter's privacy.

"There's zero secret about it. That little girl will grow up to be a teenager who will find out that I blurted her name out on national television and probably make me pay for it. She will exact her revenge in searing, psychic pain."

Prior to the birth of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's baby, the two made headlines for tying the knot in September 2012. Despite their fame, they chose to have a low-key wedding ceremony.

According to E! News, the couple loves their role as "new parents." Previously, Ryan Reynolds told the same publication that he's willing to do the dirty work just to ensure their daughter's welfare.

"I don't have a weak stomach. I'm good with diapers, diarrhea and all that kind of stuff because I have lots of nieces and nephews, so I've done it all before," he said.

The "Gossip Girl" actress also echoed her husband's sentiments. She revealed her yearning for a big family to Us Weekly.

"It's something that I've always wanted ever since I was a little girl," Blake Lively said.

"I never knew what I wanted to do for a living but I knew I wanted to have a lot of kids because I had come from a big family, so it was always important to me. So it's just the excitement of that finally being here," she added.
