President Obama knows how to take a joke.

Obama read mean tweets on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last week and the President took each comment like a true champion.

Apparently, the mean tweets that were read by Obama himself weren’t even as mean as the president had expected.

“He said: These are the meanest tweets you have? I can find a lot more mean tweets than this,” stated Jimmy Kimmel.

Although Obama’s staff reviewed the tweets in advance, the President didn’t go through them until just before the show, according to the Chicago Tribune. Obama even hilariously retorted to a couple of the mean tweets.

“Is there any way we could fly Obama to some gold course halfway around the world and just leave him there,” wrote Twitter user @RWSurferGirl.

Obama responded, stating, “Well, @RWSurferGirl, I think that’s a great idea.”

President Obama has been criticized for appearing on various television shows during his presidency, but that didn’t stop him from making us laugh with his recent “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” segment.

“Online, people who already don’t like the President are criticizing him for coming here. President Bush would get the same thing when he did TV shows. It’s the nature of the job, I guess, especially now when we have Twitter,” Kimmel told the audience.

He added, “I think it’s important to remember that presidents are people, too, and from time to time we give celebrities the chance to read some of the mean things people tweet about them. Tonight, we extended that same courtesy to our commander-in-chief.”
