Mnet revealed that 170,000 people applied for Mnet "Super Star K7" through its website within a week of opening.

According to Mnet on Monday, within a week of release, 170,000 contestants already applied for the program "Super Star K7."

"This is fast than last year when we used the ARS format. People are attracted to the fact that they could easily apply through their smartphones or computers now that it's on the internet," stated a representative of Mnet.

"Super Star K7" will begin auditions in April and the seventh season will start airing in August.
