Did Roger Federer Let Kid Win Tennis Match In Viral [VIDEO]?

Tennis player Roger Federer, who is currently number 2 in the world rankings, lost a point to a kid last week at Madison Square Garden on World Tennis Day.

The fact that Federer was beat out by a 12-year-old boy has been difficult for some to take in, as there has been speculation that the tennis player let the child win.

“Let’s be honest, Federer let him have the point, why wouldn’t he? That’s a memory that kid will never forget,” commented YouTube user Our Own little 3d world.

Fellow social media user Aliens Studios commented, “I still that that it was very good play on the kid’s part either way.”

The mini-match between Federer and the boy took place during a game between Federer and fellow professional tennis player Grigor Dimitrov. The two were playing an exhibition match when Dimitrov got playful and pulled someone out of the stands to play a point in his place, according to the Washington Post.

Despite the argument that Federer let the little boy win, it does look like Federer was trying to win the point.

In the end, the kid not only got a point out of Federer, but also received a well-deserved high-five from Dimitrov.

The festivities at the World Tennis Day ceremonies didn’t stop there. Both Federer and Dimitrov were reportedly seen hitting back-to-the-net, between-the-legs shots during their exhibition match.
