B.A.P's 'No Mercy' Beats 'Gangnam Style' to be Chosen as Song of Year in Germany

Boy group B.A.P's "No Mercy" managed to beat out global sensation "Gangnam Style" as the Song of the Year in Germany.

The Remarkable Awards 2012 in Germany entering its third year selected top players in Korean culture over a three day period in Germany with the help of local German fans.

Yesterday B.A.P already received the Best New Male Artists Award managed to snag another win with "No Mercy" beating out popular artists such as Psy's "Gangnam Style," Big Bang's "Fantastic Baby," Trouble Maker's "Troublemaker" and Junsu's "Tarantallegra."

The Remarkable Awards 2012 nominees are selected from the German Asian Music Charts and fans were to vote showing the strong Korean trends in Germany. In 2010 SHINee's "Lucifer" grabbed Song of the Year, while in 2011 it was BEAST's "Fiction." This is the first year for a rookie artist song to be selected.

"No Mercy" released in July is a mix of hip hop and dialect with Korean traditional music. It even stayed on the top for two months on German Asian Music Chart, in August and September also stayed at number 9 even up until November.
