Travis Barker On Tom Delonge's Departure: 'It's Definitely A Great Feeling'

Travis Barker, after playing their first show without estranged guitarist Tom Delonge says "It's a great feeling."

Conflict began last month when Blink 182 members Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker went public to say that Delonge was "out of the band." Delonge immediately fired back, saying that his bandmates' claims weren't true, finding their statement "weird."

The two camps exchanged blows in the following weeks. Barker at one point called out his bandmate saying he was "ungrateful."

At the end of the debacle, Delonge separated ways with his longtime group, announcing shortly after that he would be releasing material under his name - the rest of Blink 182 went their separate way, acquiring renowned punk frontman Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio to fill in the empty spot.

The band played their first show at L.A.'s Roxy Theater, playing an array of songs that includes old hits such as "Dammit," "The Rock Show" and "All The Small Things" as part of their extensive set list. "Wendy Clear," a song the band revealed that hasn't been played in over a decade, was also performed.

Barker shared his thoughts about the show with Billboard, saying "It was awesome."

"It was definitely a great feeling to see what I was feeling was reassured by the crowd response and by feedback via the Internet and social media," Barker said.

The drummer was also asked about the band's future plans.

"We don't know," he said. "There's talk of maybe recording an album, there are talks of doing a tour with A Day To Remember, so we'll see what happens."

Skiba's future with Blink 182 remains indefinite as his own band Alkaline Trio is set to embark on a tour this April.

Meanwhile, Delonge released early this month his first solo album "To The Stars...Odds and Ends." The video to single "The Invisible Parade" is already available on Youtube.
