Psy Releases Chinese Version Of ‘Father' With Concert Pianist Lang Lang

Psy released the Chinese version of his song, “Father” last Thursday and has topped the QQ Popularity Chart for two days in a row.

As of Saturday, the song has been played over a million times on the QQ music site.

This new version features piano arrangements by renowned concert pianist Lang Lang. The two have perviously worked together for the 2014 Incheon Asian Games with his song, “Champion.”

The song expresses a son’s letter to his father, thanking him for all the sacrifices he has made for their family. Unlike the original rock vibe of the song, the Chinese version features a more slow and serious sound.

Recently, Psy was awarded the Most Influential Global Artist at the 2015 QQ Music Awards.

The original version of the song was released in 2005.
