Kyla Ross Stumbles To Last Place Behind Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas At Jesolo Trophy

Team USA dominated the 2015 Jesolo Trophy, but unlike her performances the last two years, Fab Five's Kyla Ross took a noticeable tumble down on the placements.

In the all-around competition, reigning all-around champion Simone Biles easily took the top spot with 62.10 points total. The remainder of the top spots was divided between all of Team USA's contenders for the next worlds championships, and perhaps for Rio. This included Bailie Key, Alyssa Baumann, and Fab Five's Alexandra Raisman and Olympic champion Gabby Douglas.

Sadly, Kyls Ross fell to 10th place with 56.75 points. Most noticeably, Ross only scored 11.50 points on floor exercise, citing an unusual error on her first tumbling pass.

"Tonight may not have gone how I hoped but I am excited to compete in bars finals tomorrow," tweeted Ross. "Go Team USA."

Ross went on to claim the gold medal on uneven bars ahead of Bailie Key.

The primary focus on Ross, Raisman and Douglas is whether they will be competitive enough to make the Olympic team in 2016, given the incredible depth of Team USA.

"There's one thing they can't control, however: The gifts that the 'puberty fairy,' as the gymternet calls it, will bring," wrote New Republic contributor Elspeth Reeve.

"Maybe she'll bring more strength. Or maybe a few inches in height. Or maybe huge boobs. Gymnastics teaches one of the most important lessons of womanhood: Your competition is mostly younger and thinner than you."
