Dakota Fanning has a new movie ‘Effie Grey’ coming out and she “feels lucky” in her relationship with boyfriend Jamie Strachan. Many people have scrutinized their relationship, seeing how Jamie Strachan is 13 years older than the actress, but it sounds like the two are doing just fine.

Dakota Fanning proclaimed that she was “super happy” with her boyfriend Jamie Strachan last September, but they haven’t made much of a public appearance since then.

But according to Variety, ‘Effie Grey’ actress feels super lucky to have the relationships and movie career that have come her way.

“(Effie) really has no voice and no authority over her own life for a good portion of the story,” Dakota Fanning said. “And I am fortunate I’ve never completely felt that way. I’ve been very lucky to have grown up in a family that always said I could do whatever I wanted and be whatever I wanted, and so I’ve learned to use my voice, which I think is such a wonderful thing, and so I hope that this movie can highlight that, and maybe some people in these modern times will take some courage from her.”
