'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Update: Details On Villain Surface

According to the latest rumor, three villains will be appearing in J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

According to fansite and source Making Star Wars, the movie will inrtroduce two new villains who will join Kylo Ren, believed to be Han Solo's son, as the movie's baddies. "Lord of the Rings" star Andy Serkis will be playing the character Uber, while "Game of Thrones" actress Gwendoline Christie takes on the role of Captain Phantasm.

Out of the three, Kylo Ren, rumored to be played by Adam Driver, will have most of the screen time. Uber will have a minor role in the upcoming film, as is with Christie's Phantasm, who is described to be a "Boba Fett type" of character. The report claims their roles will be expanded in Episode VIII.

Disney has not yet made any statements confirming the new characters. As with all rumors, this one should be taken with a grain of salt.

Meanwhile, the movie's second trailer has been attached to the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" premiere on May 1. Before that, it is expected to appear at the Star Wars Celebration Convention, running through Apr. 16 to 19.

Directed by J.J. Abrams, "The Force Awakens" is the seventh installment to the long running saga George Lucas started in 1978. It is also Disney's first "Star Wars" film since the company purchased its rights in 2012.

Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher will be reprising their roles as Luke Skywalker, Harrison Fordand Princess Leia, respectively.

Joining them are series newcomers Daisy Ridley (Mr. Selfridge), John Boyega (Attack The Block), Domnhall Gleeson (About Time), Oscar Isaac (A Most Violent Year), Andy Serkis (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Lupita Nyong'O (The Jungle Book), Adam Driver (Girls), and Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones).

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" releases in theaters on Dec. 18.
