Limp Bizkit New Album Waiting To Be Released; ‘Stampede Of The Disco Elephants’ Might Be Delayed Again

Following up their 2011 record "Gold Cobra" and the first record since the departure of DJ Lethal, Limp Bizkit is yet to release another album entitled "Stampede Of The Disco Elephants."

As their first record since leaving Interscope and joining Cash Money Records, their new record, which has been delayed numerous times, is now expected to come out this year.

Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland talked to Metal Insider about the band's new record and spoke about why the upcoming LP has been in the works since 2012.

"To be blatantly honest about it, the new album has gone through so many different alterations and so many different session," Borland said. "I mean, we've gone into five different studios now. I think we're up to 28 songs, or maybe even more. And those are completed songs."

The 40-year-old guitarist continued that Fred Durst has been pouring his heart out for the record but couldn't decide which track should he include.

"Fred [Durst] has been working on vocals in his home studio nonstop for months and months," he said. "He's told me that he's almost finished, but I don't know what amount of the 28 songs has been finished. I know that he re-records and trashes vocals all the time. I don't know, I think he's in a mode where he's liking something that he's doing and not liking other stuff. But I think he's just now starting to feel a lot more confident in what he's putting in the songs."

Furthermore, in another interview reported by Blabbermouth, vocalist Fred Durst also talked about the new Limp Bizkit album and described it as "crazier" and "outrageous."

"It's a little crazier than usual. It's more off the wall, pretty outrageous," Durst said. "It's hard to explain, but I think this will be the one, which changes the way we make music from here on out. The way 'Paul's Boutique' did for the Beastie Boys."
