'Attack On Titan' Live Action TV Series Confirmed; Premiere Set To Happen At The Same Time As Movie Release!

Recent news about the "Attack on Titan" franchise started from the anime series being turned into a live-action movie, now, the said manga will also be turned into a live-action TV Series.

According to Anime News Network, the Hajime Isayama manga series will also be adapted to become a live-action TV series and is set to be shown on Docomo's dTV streaming service. The upcoming show will be premiering in August, which is the same month for the franchise's live-action movie release.

The source also added that the TV show will be focusing on Hanji. It will show her character's daily life along with the other soldiers who are at war with the Titans.

As the live-action movie has it, Satomi Ishihara will also be playing the role of Hanji in the TV series, other actors and actresses in the movie will also be playing their roles in the TV series.

While there will be reprisement of roles, the "Attack on Titan" live action TV series also promises to introduce new characters that will not be included in the upcoming film.

In other news, a new trailer has been previously released online for fans to see. The short video shows the fans a glimpse of the actual Titans and how realistic they are. Aside from the Titans, Kiko Mizuhara was also seen playing the role of Mikasa Ackerman.

Other actors and actresses playing roles in the film include Miura Haruma as Eren Yeager, Takahiro Miura as Jean Kirstein, Nanami Sakuraba as Sasha Blouse, Kanata Hongo as Armin Arlert, Satomi Ishihara as Hange Zoë, Shu Watanabe as Fukushi, Ayame Misaki as Hiana and Rina Takeda as Lil. Fukushi, Hiana and Lil are new characters set to only appear in the live-action film.

The "Attack on Titan" live-action movie is set for release on Aug. 1, 2015.
